Re: 0-100kmph in GTA
wit right tires and conditions, read a test where they managed 5.7 secs for standard car... (think it was on pirelli p-zero corsa tires)
 (0-100 kph)

Re: 0-100kmph in GTA
interesting topic in general
car mags often cite this as a major benchmark - but I wonder
1. aren;t the human variables important?
2. there may be more useful accelerative measurements

As an ex-M3 owner I can say that the answer is not even close. That said, I can also add that the GTA FEELS and SOUNDS quicker in every gear, especially at low speeds and revs where the M3 doesn't really FEEL fast..

Re: 0-100kmph in GTA
Dont know about that, i know with the upgrades that i have made to ecu and supersprint exhaust, ive easily knocked of half a second on the 0-60, which is close to the M3.

I've seen lots of mags quote the M3 under 5 seconds. The GTA is 6.3.
Like I said though, my GTA FEELS faster and that is far more important

Being someone that owns both. I can say with no fear of being corrected that they are in a completely different league to each other. The GTA feels fast for a front wheel drive car in a straight line, but please don't be fooled into thinking it can even see which way an E46 M3 went. 250BHP against 338BHP just says it all.
However the GTA brakes are far better than the single pot, sliding calipers that are standard fit on E46 M3's. I have fitted Performance Friction disks, pads, Goodrich lines and still its not as good as the 147GTA.
0-100MPH in my 2001 manual E46 M3 with 18" wheels was 11.8 seconds measured with a VBOX GPS system. I havent tried the GTA yet, but, I will.

Re: 0-100kmph in GTA
BMW M3 0-60, 5.1 seconds, 1570kg
156 gta 0-60, 6.3 seconds, 1410kg
Standard car times, your looking at a 30-40 hp increase with the right mods and it will be coming close to the M3.

Interesting comment about the brakes - I felt the opposite was true(though I had an E36 M3) - even after fitting my GTA with Ferrados,
Goodrich Braided Brakelines and Delphi 5.1 Brake Fluid I find the modulation, brake feel and emergency braking nowhere near as good at the standard M3s (and I occasionally tracked the M3 which I have not yet done with the GTA). The only place I think my GTAs are better is with regard to brake fade on my long mountain runs, but I think that has to do with the upgraded lines, pads and fluid I used. Maybe they changed something substantial going from E36-E46....
You have a GTA and an M3 at the same time? Sounds like a pretty nice choice to have each morning when you wake up
