Autocar (UK magazine) have just done a 0-100-0 test on 28 cars, which included the Alfa 147 GtA, the R32 and the Renault Clio V6. Here are the times in miles per hour:-

Alfa 147 GTA :- 0-30 2.45 sec
0-60 5.69 sec
0-100 14.10 sec
Braking 100-0 4.39 sec (1.09g)
0-100-0 18.76 sec
Standing Mile 37.6 sec Max speed reached 137 mph

Renault Clio V6 :- 0-30 2.32 sec
0-60 6.22 sec
0-100 15.75 sec
Braking 100-0 4.41 sec (1.19g)
0-100-0 20.51 sec
Standing Mile 37.3 sec Max speed reached 133 mph


VW Golf R32 :- 0-30 1.90 sec
0-60 6.60 sec
0-100 15.70 sec
Braking 100-0 4.69 sec (1.19g)
0-100-0 20.67 sec
Standing Mile 37.8 sec Max speed reached 132 mph

147 GTA, is one fast car, i thought the Clio would be much faster with only 2 seats

Amazing that with 0-30 times the alfa is between 0.1 and 0.5 seconds behind, but already takes the lead by 60 mph... So much for RWD and 4wd then... It seems the benefit is quite small

pretty awesome, wonder how much of a change a few mods would make to the alfa?
