Squeaky Breaks?? Any Suggestions??

Guys my breaks are real squeaky and they are getting on my nerves. Is there a cream or something that I can put on the discs?

Re: Squeaky Breaks?? Any Suggestions??

Lubricate the discs and your car will stop very quickly ...when you hit the wall or tree

but there are products that can be applied to the back of the pads to 'prevent' squealing of the brakes.

You will find that the type of pad being used will affect the amount of squeal you get. Ferrodo DS2500 tend to squeal under light braking , at the moment you are about to stop, for example. Removong the brake dust between the pads and the disc using a 'high' pressure water stream helps for a few days....

I agree with Stori. As you probably know the squeaking is caused by a build up of brake dust. Perhaps changing to something like Green Stuff pads might help?

Re: Squeaky Breaks?? Any Suggestions??

i've got ferodo and get some squeal on light braking. A brake specialist told me that its a known fault with the pistons in the calipers on the gta not retracting properly. Wont give any other problem except some squeal.
