It's done, I now RUMBLE with 4 not 2...

Enjoy the pics - the booming has gone but the rumble is still there!

There will be a Sydney (Australia) Alfa get together this Sat, so the rest of the local Alfisti's can inspect in the real...

Could not attach pics as their file size is too large?

Crash, for those of us not familiar with your work, what exactly have you done? 4-pipe and sport cat? Brand? Other?

Being in Australia, we are limited to what is available... Also our climate has adverse affects to bits for the northern hemisphere (colder etc.).

So what you see has been in the making over the last few months to get the following:
- sound
- performance
- looks (plastic welder for the right side grill)

So, I opted for a local company that has been manufacturing exhausts since the 70s - the fact that they are around the corner from me also helps in tuning etc.

They do a lot of the high end cars there. Not a day goes by with-out a new Ferrari, Lambo, Masser etc. (as well as a lot of Japanese brands - especially WRX's) delivered to have some work done (I know as I can hear them roaring)...

Today for exampe, there was a yellow Lambo Gallardo waiting in line.

All we have done is a CBE, but a lot of time has been spent driving around getting the tone/note right...

As it is, this is still a work in progress - the end result is to be able to sell the whole kit out of teh box (yes, export is an option).

During the last Alfa ride day - a few other AR owners got to drive her to feel the difference... The response is THERE when needed, though back then the cabin noise was an issue. Suffice to say that has been corrected.

This w/end will be interesting...

"It is by riding a bicycle that you learn the contours of a country best, since you have to sweat up the hills and coast down them. Thus you remember them as they actually are, while in a motor car only a high hill impresses you, and you have no such accurate rememberance of country you have driven through as you gain by riding a bicycle." Hi Crash! - Your exhaust looks good.

It looks as though you have Michelin PS2's fitted... how do you like them? I've recently fitted them to replace my OEM Bridgestone RE 050's and found that although the turn-in response is very slightly slower, they are more grippy and provide a better ride quality.

The 4 exhausts pipes coming out the back of a 147 GTA looks just right, she looks great, when can we have a short vid.

@ AM
The rubbers are actually P-Zero Rossos.
As for the ride, so much more compliant & less road noise compaired to the RE 050s. Turn in is good, no loss of traction yet... But then a lot of these good be due to the KW V2s I had installed at the same time - but if you ever have the opportunity to upgrade from the H&R springs, do it (like night & day - no bottoming out etc. curves are a dream)

Re: It's done, I now RUMBLE with 4 not 2...

Are the right two exhaust actually working with this exhaust?

I mean, air usually tries to find the easiest way out and by the looks of the design of the exhaust it wants to go directly to the left pipes without using the detour to the pipes located on the right. I assume only the left two pipes smoke on a cold morning.

The looks of the exhaust fitted and well is though

Agreed - actually both sets are smoking in the morning? Maybe it's becuse we are in the Southern Hemisphere... Just like how the water runs the other way down the sink to teh Northern Hemisphere... I'll ask Agent(s) Mulder & Scully.

I've done something similar to my GT. It sounds and looks awsome. After showing it off at a AR gathering most GT owners went back to the dealership for the conversion. Now it's become an optional extra on the sales floor.

GT driver where did you get your GT? How long have you had it? I've also got the quad exhaust conversion, looks the business.

I really, really like that. The Autodelta 4-pipe and bumper remains a temptation for me...

Hey Crash

Where are you guys meeting up - I'll try and come along if you let me know the details?

On Monday I replaced the standard cat with a SuperSprint Racing Cat. I'd already had a SuperSprint cat-back system fitted (straight through pipe and back box with two 80mm outlets), so keen to get it out and see how it goes.

I'll send you a PM with my number - send me a text if you can?

Cheers, Marc
