Looky Looky Raggazon Exhaust

Fitting my Cat back Ragga exhaust 2mrrw.
Got it from Gazzella racing via........
http://www.gazzella.cc/
They imported direct from italia this week. Got the centre pipe with the silencer on, as I read here the unsilenced type is too much boooooom. All finished with the twin80 back box;
So it all looks stock

didnt go for the quad, as it smokes on the left side..........

Short notice I kno; But any tips on fitting or is it a str8 Forward job??????????????????

Another morning in the garage pit......

Re: Raggazon Exhaust

ALL FITTED AND SOUNDS FECK'N' FANTASTIC...........

Extremely straight forward job, always made easier with the pit in Pappa Foxie's' Garage.
It took longer for the WD40 to sort out the rust on the existing clamp bolts than actually fit the new pipe and back box.
If your fitting one; Keep the bubble wrap on all the time. That is until you start your Bella up!!
The back box tends to swing down and hit the deck when fitting, and you don't wanna bodge up the polished tail pipes...

Anyway: to drive home to Newbury I have to venture over the Hampshire downs. Acceleration up the hill has totally improved!! I then have to go through some very narrow village streets, with buildings both sides. The Raggazon tone bouncing off the buildings was fantastic...but when cruise control on @ 50mph, sounds only slightly deeper to the orig. exhaust.

Off to find me a tunnel 2mrrw

All your GTA's deserve one of these, what-ever Raggazon set-up you go for. HIGHLY RECCOMENDED go buy one..............

Re: Raggazon Exhaust

Its only louder when you accelerate hard...... so that's most of the time for the average GTA owner, say x2 louder. but cruising' on motorway is the same.

Acceleration is noticeably different, ASR light now like a strobe at every junction...

Off to Southampton today, Mrs Foxie needs clothes. So let you kno how a 60mile round trip goes.....

Re: Raggazon Exhaust

I was wrong about the x2 louder....

Its a deeper tone, not a volume decibel thing, if that makes sense.
When you accelerate away from a junction/roundabout its a deep-booming sound that resonates from the boot.
I don't think it would be too appealing to passengers in the rear seats on a long journey, but hey they're in a GTA..

But it sounds bloody fantastic in the Bargate multi-storey car-park.

(Troll) - did you know that plod use an unmarked black Skoda Octavia RS. Seen it loads of times on M3/A34.
Sneaky bar-stewards.....

Re: Raggazon Exhaust

Personally i'm not a big fan of the boom effect from some exhausts,it tends to give me a headache.I prefer a more sportier mid-toned sound but i guess it's hard to find what you want until you actually fit it.
I'd be very interested in a sound clip if possible?

Re: Raggazon Exhaust

I put a rear box on my GTA a few months ago. Here's the thread for anyone who might not have seen it the first time around:

Yes they have quite a few Skoda's, here in Bournemouth they miust have at least 4 or 5 unmarked ones, aswell as the usual Volvo's and VW ventos/bora's and beemers too.

Sound file would be good :-)

It came to a grand total of............

£403.02 incl delivery & VAT
(And an hour of my time fitting it all)

Cheaper @ the time than;
Alfisti £422 +delivery+VAT
AutoDelta £390+delivery (& didn't have the better silenced centre pipe)

IMHO its well worth it.

As for a sound clip people
Christ, I've just mastered this ZX81..............

The sound clips I have heard here on the forum, DO NOTHTING for the Real tone, they do not do it justice; What-so-ever!!!
But I'm off to the spring AROC at Middle Wallop Army Museum on April 23rd, if you can wait ????????????

Re: Raggazon Exhaust

To date, this is the best sounding aftermarket exhaust i've heard for the GTA,albeit a bit expensive

Re: Raggazon Exhaust

that sounds very nice, I'm with you on preferring the higher less boomy versions.
That said, I haven't heard a raggazon at all, even on the net...
Still interested in the Arqray exhausts myself, someone said they sounded fairly shrill, cant be a bad thing!

And £400 for the raggazon setup, thats pretty good value I reckon!

Re: Raggazon Exhaust

Jozza - I completely agree - that is THE sound that the 156/147 GTA needs to have, and what a masterpiece of pipework engineering!! What does it cost? Being Japanese, it probably stupidly expensive, but a snarling exhaust to die for, rather than a booming one!!

I wonder if one coud be custom made over here from those pictures!!!!

This is a short vid clip of my Raga, the best way to hear her is to put some headphones on and turn it up.
