Help - Active Check????

i hope someone out there can assist........

having trawled through the 300 page manual (liking it to reading 'war and peace', tho i haven't read it, just imagining) i can find no reference to this warning

what is 'active check', what does it relate to and what does it mean?

any ideas?

I thought it was the check the car carries out as you start the engine. Isn't it usually followed by the message 'check OK'?
I assumed it was just a general diagnostic test checking bulbs, airbags etc. Could be wrong though.

thanks, after active check, it just disappears, it doesnt stay on for anymore than 2 or 3 seconds but i havent noticed that i come on every time

it doesnt seem to be a major problem, im not sure whether it has always happened or not

I'll go and start the car later to confirm what it says. I think mine does it everytime i start the car though.

Yes, it happens on mine every time I start up, just a general check.

I suppose the only thing you need to know is that it says 'OK' at the end .

I just checked. If I turn the key but don't start the car I just get a 'active check' message. The 'ok' message only shows after starting the engine.

very helpful, put my mind at ease.
