GT robbery?

watching tv last night about 10, and the alarm went off on the GT

rushed outside to fight off the scrotes as they screw drivered the car.......but, nobody there

reset alarm and went in - hour later, same thing - so just reset it this time - then again a minute or so later

had to lock it with key to prevent neighbours from beating it to death with their slippers!

im thinking duff alarm - interesting that it occurred the same day it returned from the dealers?

Re: GT robbery?

Was your rear hatch closed - I often accidentally hit the open hatch button as I am locking the car - if the hatch is unlocked it will activate your alarm if the doors are locked - I am sure it was locked but it was something that used to happen to me now and again when I first bought the car.

Re: GT robbery?

think i might have figured it - the dealer said they were going to strip down the boot locking mechanism - bet they stuffed the connection/sensor

Re: GT robbery?

I have had the hatch thing a couple of times in the early days, but had the release reset and it makes a louder noise now on release so not so easy to do. Dealers messing up a connection surely not hehehe

Re: GT robbery?

just out of interest.....and insurance cover - if my alarm is turned off (ie: doors looked via key rather than remote) is the immobiliser still on?! im thinking yes as it should only be deactivated when key is in ignition.....but alfa being alfa, who knows
