These pads are in my opinion the best for the GTA with either 330’s or 305’s

Ned
This may be a silly question, but...

...why are the 305 pads £55 more expensive than the 330 pads?

Re: ***Definitive 147/156 GTA brake upgrade thread***

Not really a silly question, the pads design for the 330 is a more popular with the different manufactures than the 305’s so they make more so the costs are less.

The other reason is that the 330 is designed for road use and comes with anti squeal shims where as the 305’s are a more aggressive pad designed for race use.

Hope it helps

Help Re: ***Definitive 147/156 GTA brake upgrade thread***

Hi
I have 06' 1.6 alfa romeo 156.I have 330x32x44.8 mm front drilled brembo discs and 4 pistons brembo calipers.I want to replace my brake pads but I could't decide which pad I should get.I want to buy EBC yellow stuff or Ferodo 2500-3000.Also people suggest ATE which is widely use in Turkey. I want my pads totaly silent and also it should give high braking performance during cold temperatures.Ferodo users complain about the noise but I don't have an exprince about ferodo.I read about EBC in web sites forums. As I investigate, yellowstuff brake pads did well in braking test between 0-900 degrees. What do you suggest? I don't want to put a noisy brake pad in my vehicle.I'm looking forward to your suggestions.Thank you..

The best pads money can buy for the 330 for road use are the Performance Frictions and they can now be bought from:

- The Alfa Owner Shop

You can read the review at:

http://www.alfaowner.com/Forum/tunin...telemetry.html (Review of Performance Friction pads (with Telemetry))

Or:

http://www.alfaowner.com/Forum/tunin...autolusso.html (New Performance Friction Pads - Thanks AutoLusso)

But why you want such serious braking on a 1.6 is beyond me, do you really need it?

I have poweflex towers, anti roll kit and all kind of frame improvements.I reach quite well handling right now,I did everhthing for the handling.I'll do 3.2 v6 24v egnine swap for the future,I'm making this car for future projects. Also I'll replace rear brakes with brembo family c and make my discs 305mm. I usually drive agressive and safety is very important for me that's why I give great importance to brakes. After I put 3.2liter engine I'll buy 3.750cc stroker kit. My braking distance increased with 18'' rims, standart brakes will not be enough for the future

thanks, get the upgrade next week, but not for free, cost me around 600-700punds. I need new pads and disc, that cost around 300-400punds, so can just as well go for the big, and new brake calipers
