Alfa 147 GTA

New member - Just bought 147 GTA

Hi guys

I just picked up a 2003 147 GTA at the weekend - it is such a fantastic car! It is red with black leather and looks so good.

However, the way it drives is even better. So nimble, so controllable, such direct steering and great brakes.

A couple of blasts through a tunnel near me were worth the purchase price alone!

This is a great site which I have been looking at for a while - and I hope to make many posts in the future!

Re: New member - Just bought 147 GTA

I'm from Edinburgh in Scotland - and, due to the typically Scottish summer, the gleaming car that was picked up on Saturday is now filthy due to all the rain.

I well get it all shiny again and take some pics.

I don't know about Australia, but the reacvtion you get from other drivers in Scotland is great - especially other Alfa drivers!

The tunnel was back in Dundee - quite short, but the effect was excellent!

I'll look out for the 156 GTA - brilliant cars!

Hi E E, Welcome to AO

I know the tunnel you mean, there is a similar one in the centre of Glasgow.

I hope to see you at the Scottish Alfa day next year, was only one gta this year a silver 156 which was a garage owned car for sale.

I'll look out for you also.

Yes We Get The Same Effect Here In Australia.
People Can't Believe That Such An Agressive Sound Can Come From Such A Small Car. It's Fantastic!
I Just Lowered It With Kw Coilovers And It Looks Even More Agressive!
You Should Seriously Consider Lowering The Car. It Will Improve Your Handleing 10 Fold!

Hello Wong,
No word of a lie, it will improve your cars handleing performance by 10!
It is unbelievable how much grip the front end has! It is incredible. Ecurie, this goes for you to. The car is great fun to drive, even for an every day car.

Ciao

I think your right 147.

Mate,

You should watch what you post. Never know when you might have another warranty claim - ATECO (Alfa Australia for you Brits) is watching...
