Rattly front brakes

LOL yeah it's me again Mr Paranoia, but then I am booking the car in for service in the next month so anything that needs sorting under warranty I would like sorted. The other day I had the window down and was parking and noticed that on applying the brakes the fronts noticeably rattle. I know the previous alfas and other Italian cars I have owned had floating callipers that needed greasing. Is it just that? or something else? If anyone has had this before it would be good to know so I have some idea to tell them. BTW I am as sure as can be that they are the smaller 305mm discs.
