TUT molested GTA

Ok, just got back from italia day at stanford hall, some really beautifull cars, and one horror, a sportwagon gta with rubbing strips (aargh) number plate moved to the middle of the bumper, a 3.2 badge from some 'foriegn' car above the gta badge and a cross of saint george sticker in the middle of the boot! I'm very sorry but in my opinion this is the worst gta i've ever seen. Did anyone else spot it?

Yes, I saw it. No, it weren't, umm...pretty. Shame really, as that was one of only two (156) GTAs at the event.

Re: molested GTA

Wait a minute. Was it a bright blue colour?
I seem to remember seeing a blue GTA selespeed at NAD last year which I wasn't very impressed by. In fact, I was a bit suspicious as to whether it was even a real GTA.
Can't quite remember what was wrong with it though. Was there lots of chrome?

OK, I don't think we are talking about the same one. Is the one you saw as bad as the one on this page?

Re: molested GTA

Thats not a real GTA Bazza. The foglights aren't in the right place and it doesn't look like it has flared wheel arches either!

Nope; weren't as bad as that; whereas that is just plain awful, the ona yesterday was just "spoilt" with a few ill thought-out adornments.

If you read either that thread or this one, you'd know that I already knew that

Re: molested GTA

oops should have read the rest of the posts before i put that in you already new that, but yes it was just spoilt, I suppose the rubbing strips on their own could be excused if the car was parked in say a supermarket car park all day but the rest is pure sacrillage.

Re: molested GTA

Still, could've been worse. Could've been like the Scicentos/Puntos on the Fiat section. Looked more like a Max Power gathering, and the farty Fiat exhaust notes (thanks to their drainpipe-esque rear silencers) sounded just comical waht with the Ferraris and whatnot...

Sounds a bit sad - one of the best things about the GTA badging is the fact it doesn't mention engine size!
