No, been for the last three years, going to give it a miss. Nothing new to see and fewer Alfas than in previous years, and it's damned expensive! Excellent event, don't get me wrong, but very similar every year.

Going on Sunday on my own very early in my GTA, can not wait. It is the most amazing day and I know its sad but I really wanted to do one year on my own so I could see everything I wanted to. AWESOME!

Yep, going, as ever, on the Sunday.....it's the best day if you want to see some real speed on the hill IMO.
I'll be up at 4, and picking my mates up at 5..........Little Chef en route, perfect!
One of my mates ordered his ticket a little late, so he may be queuing to get it at the gate............whilst I and another will be inside sipping Pimms

Not sad at all in my opinion. Nothing better sometimes to just do what you want to do, no compromise - can't beat it! Enjoy

Agree, I actually went twice last year, on the Thursday (free tickets) and again on the Saturday with my son. Had a really good nose over the Alfas and other wonderful machinery in the paddock on the Thursday and chatted to some of the drivers/mechanics. How sad is that!
Also, got the chance to see the Tipo 33 Stradale up close when it arrived for the concours, I literally had to get out of the way to let it park up!

Goodwood FOS
Going Saturday. Brother giving me a lift in a SAAB :roll eyes:
I go every year, to the Revival as well. It is expensive and crowded (and you queue to get in and out!) but the atmosphere is terrific and I would never miss it. Been to last ten years on the trot
Can't wait!

People say it's expensive, but for what you get from the day, it's good value I think. Fuel is of course a variable cost....I'll be using a fair bit driving from Devon.
However, most teenagers blow far more than the entry fee in a night on the lush at the weekend

Captian_Slow_to_Sell being at Goodwood would explain why he's not all over the Citroen piece on the PH home page.

It took me a while to spot the CX Turbo alloys on it, but I was more taken with those Pugs as I wasn't aware of them. I've not looked through the auction listing.

Hiya NewAlfisti
Welcome back.
I planned to go to Goodwood this year but a few things have cropped up since which prevent me from doing so.
I know its a bit random but...
Im just wondering if it was you I had a little friendly duel with 2 or 3 months ago going passed Redcar on the dual carriageway on the way to Saltburn. I was in a dark green mk3 Golf GTi (5dr). Ring any bells with you?

It was fun indeed shame you were not in your GTA so I could see how much faster it is.
BTW, One day i met a chap that was working in a middlesbrough multistorey car park, he was very much into GTA's and said he knew you but i forget his name.

Really wanted to go to this but I didn't realise when it was on and booked a holiday to turkey.
My dad got me a little leaflet from the Alfa stand to make up for it
