Wheel spacers fitted

Thanks to tomfromtelford who gave me the number of an ex GTA owner i've now fitted some eibach spacers to my car

. Not sure what his AO username is but i met Mark on saturday to pick them up & fitted them yesterday

They make a good addition to the suspension as they bring the wheels out & finish the 'look' of the car nicely IMO

noice!

some people use spacers, some do not.

what does a wider track on these cars "do"? better handling? what does it do to the suspension geometry?

spent a while taking photos/looking round Dick Lovetts where i met him, i know where im going if i win the lottery

i really like his maser too. Sounds great aswell

I think ive noticed a difrence in the car but its hard to say because its been raining pretty much non stop since i fitted them but i done it more for the look of it than anything else really, the wheels sit just to far back in the arches without them i thought

i should think it will make it handle slightly better though being that little bit wider

That's the main reason I put on the GT 18" multis, as they fill the arches better.

What sort of price do they go for? Are there any negatives?

what thickness are they? 5mm? 8mm? 10mm? 15mm?

I hope you bought longer bolts too

10mm on the fronts and 12mm on the back. I did get the longer bolts/locking bolts aswell

Not that ive noticed

. Ill keep an eye on them though & also the 10mm spacers as some people say they can crack etc.

Does feel difrent/better but then i have just got new suspension aswell so it all sort of goes together i think, not really tried it too hard though because its been raining constantly since before i put them on

Hi having trouble finding 12mm spacers that come with the longer bolts that fit the gta, has anyone got any advice please, Novitec do them but read that the bolts are a couple of mm to long alfisti also come with bolts but says the bolts are standard ? Does that mean standard long bolts or just standard

I've had the 12mm alfisti spacers on mine for about a year now and they are fine. They came with longer bolts as well!

You didn't have issues with dust caps Jimbo on the rear wheels? Apparently they get in the way.. Worried the 15mm will hit the wheel arches though..

Gta jimbo does that mean when they say standard bolts come with them this means standard long bolts??

No issues with dust caps, they just sit straight on perfectly, and I haven't had any rubbing on the arches. Yes they come with longer bolts.

Thanks, looks like I know what's going on my christmas list. You have standard teledials I assume?
