Some Help / Info Required

I was wondering if as many JTD GT owners as possible that read this would take the time to answer a simple question.

Does your GT make any kind of popping / banging / or loud noise when you switch off the engine?

I am due to get my GT back tomorrow after it being in the dealers for the past 2 months waiting for Alfa to supply a door membrane, (which still isn’t in by the way, effective repair being carried out) while it was in I asked service to investigate the above mentioned noise on mine. When I called today and enquired to the cause of the noise, I was told ALL GTs DO THIS. I find it kind of hard to accept, as mine only started doing it a week before it went in, the loan one I have had for the past 2 months never did it and I don’t recall the demonstration one I drove doing it.

I was hoping that if you can take the time to post a simple mine does mine doesn’t reply to prove or disprove this. My car has covered roughly 3000 mile

I can't say I've heard that on mine Andy but I'll have a close listen and let you know asap

What's that?

Fred, a door membrane is the plastic film that goes over the door before the door pad goes on, it effectively stops water entering the car
