Here (http://forum.alfa-gta.net/viewtopic.php?t=182) is a guy who had the same problem. (hope, you can read german).
He had to pay for the replacement.

Im not very technical, but could this have anything to do with the broken drive shaft? (ie engine not fully secure, could it put extra strain on it?)
