Help GTA Disc replacement

There has been lots of discussion on GTA disc fade/warp and I'm currently on the my second set, which I've a feeling on the brink of needing replacement after 6000m - not bad considering.
Unfortunately I'm not one of the lucky few who have managed to convince dealer or Alfa that an upgrade exists let alone implement for my GTA.
So head in hand and seeking the easy life I'm likely to upgrade myself before it totally spoils my enjoyment.
Opinions needed please on whether I should go TAR-OX or Red Dot Discs, if so which seem to do the job? Have you upgrade just the fronts or opted to go for rears also? Have you also upgraded the Pads?
Lots of questions - keen to know what you've done

PS - my dealer seems to think that a 4x4 GTA is on it's way????

Re: GTA Disc replacement

Jus1,

You should read the recent post by ManuGTA stating the situation in Switzerland. Alfa there will effect the replacement if the owner complains formally.

My 4 month old 156 Gta has the new front brake system and they are very different, bigger discs and calipers . Calipers are the rears of a Ferrari 360 Modena, I've heard.

I would strongly recommend that you do not fit replacement discs of another type at your own expense. Doing so would jeopardise all chance of you getting AR to do it for free.

Regards,

Andy

Re: GTA Disc replacement

If anyone on here who has had the work done tells you where, get in touch with your dealer, tell them if they dont do it, such and such will, Im sure they wont want to lose the work to someone else!
