147GTA Selespeed

Any ideas when the 147GTA Selespeed will be launched in UK? Are there any problems with the 156GTA Selespeed that should put me off going for the Selespeed option?

I think it will take a while before the selespeed option will be available on the 147 GTA in the UK. We have new versions usually sooner then the UK and the 147 GTA Selespeed is not on the pricelist yet overhere (but is on the Italian pricelist)

maybe u shld head down to ur nearest & friendliest AR dealer for a test drive in the 156 GTA SELESPEED.

based on wat i heard from a fren who tested a 156GTA sele and owned a 2.0 selespeed previously, it was indeed a faith renewing experience tat the selespeed system is the way to go...

the "new" selespeed in the GTA shifts almost immediately and seamlessly (was told there wasnt any click/clack acutator sounds) - plus it doesnt upshift for u automatically in manual mode... it downshifts very fast when u step on the brakes in anticipation that u might need the power to make some "sporty" maneuvers..

i trust the 147GTA selespeed will still drive quite differently frm the 156gta version and is quite a different animal altogther.. so dun take the 156GTA sele test drive as the be all and end all in judging its smaller sibling - 147GTA sele...

but hey, as they say, dun trust wat i say totally... go try out for urself wat is available now..

shucks... i really regret not waiting for the GTA selespeed....

I took delivery of my 156 GTA Selespeed at the end of March and I'm very pleased with it.
Big improvement over the 2000 156 Selespeed which I ran for 70,000 miles. Speed and smoothness of gearchanges etc. Only time will tell whether reliability has improved too.
I'd guess the 147 version will be very similar.
A year ago the word was that no UK dealer would be getting a 156 GTA Selespeed demonstrator and I had to go to Amsterdam to get a test drive. I don't know whether the situation has changed.
I think I may have the only Selespeed GTA in UK certainly with the improved front brakes.
