Is it me, or did it take the Alfa driver a few laps before he got the hang of it? Did he change down right onto the rev limiter into the corner letting the integra come past?

Too right it would have.

It seemed that way to me too. Maybe the result would have been slightly different with a manual.

Re: 147 GTA v R32 v 130i v ITR v A3 3.2 v Scoob

There wasn't much in it in the end really.

Still out of the top three the only one you can really have is the Alfa anyway. The Honda is all or nothing (as in you either go into the vtec range or have no power) and the BMW is a BMW and you will therefore be hated by passers by.

Im surprised it beat the golf though as that particular shape has 250bhp and although it is fat and heavy should have outhandled the Alfa.

Im not surprised at the scooby comming in at the back because I drove one of the basic ones on a track and it was quite simply cr*p and had no power lol!

Most probably posted using an iPhone - in other words most probably spelt wrong!

Pearl White Alfa Romeo 147 GTA - Front end resprayed, new gearbox with Q2, Aluminum Sump Guard, anthracite refurbed alloys, private "GTA" plate, PF Brake Pads, GTV Manifolds + "Hybrid Front Pipes", Scorpion cat back exhaust, K&N panel filter and snorkel removed

A few laps in the GTA was being handled better than most of the others, I thought, and the straight line speed got rid of the VW stable. Remember the drag they did on TopGear

YouTube - Top Gear - Alfa Romeo 147 Gta (approx 1:05 in)

Nice, even 'though Clarkson reckons the GTA has "no Diff"

Must say I'm liking the excitable Japanese Murray Walker commentary :-)
