GTA Temperature sensor

I had a message on my display monitor systems fault so i plugged my reader in and it came up with p0115 engine coolant temperature circuit the temp gauge sits at 90 then drops then puts the engine light on but the problem is im struggling to find the switch on the engine any ideas to its location?

any help appreciated

Tony,

It is just behind and below the thermostat. You have to clear a few items out of the way to get to it, but after that it just unscrews out of the block (or thermostat body??). So, from the front it is to the RHS of the engine and below that black plastic box about the size of a Coke Can (but rectangular of course) with wires coming in and out at either end.
