alloy respray a good idea?

I've been toying with the idea of getting my alloys resprayed to a darker antricite colour. Although the gta alloys are beautiful, I've seen a few photos of darkened gta alloys and think they look very cool. Was having a look on the new Brera S website and they've darkened the standard alloys. What do you guys think? There is a concern that if you alter the GTA visually it might have a negative effect when trying to sell on. Suppose with a respray it could be resprayed again back to original silver.

Whats the deal with that then? Is that a treatment on top of the darkened colour or is it an alternative way of recolouring alloys?

Re: alloy respray a good idea?

Couple of shades darker would work, too dark or black is a shame I feel as it hides the design of any wheel. Think it also important to get a metallically shiny or lacquered finish, or they could just end up looking dirty.

Yea, I think it was cause I cleaned mine after such a long time dirty that maybe they are too bright for me!

anyways, heres the Brera S with the colour of alloys I like. As my gta is red, I think it would work just as well:

Re: alloy respray a good idea?

I agree with you mate, a slightly darker metallic finish is the way to go. Here are some images from another post, the black GTA is finished in Anthracite?
Interestingly the iconic image of the white GTA from the original launch photos show a rim colour darker than the standard metallic silver we all know.
