Re: GTA Roadwatch (was it you?)
After my first post here saying I'd never seen another GTA on the road, I saw one this evening, driving out of a housing estate in the very town I live in!
Saw it go to the local Focus, so I got it with a flyer!

Re: GTA Roadwatch (was it you?)
Not that surprising, surely? We all spend so much time in petrol stations it's likely we should meet up there.......
Cheers,
Nigel

The amount of time I spend in petrol stations I'd be less surprised to meet another GTA owner there..
When we convoy in the GTA squadrone down my way, we always meet in a petrol station.

Don't be so ridiculous mate - there's much more chance of seeing another GTA in a petrol station! That is, at least SOME chance!

Hmmmm...if only that were funny...cracked £70 on a fill up for the first time this morning
£72.43 on 56.63 litres of V-Power. The last tank did 268 miles including a fair bit of motorway and driving my Mum around at relatively sedate speeds...I think I'll trade her (not my Mum!) on a Civic Hybrid tomorrow...yeah right!
Anyway, back to spotting GTAs...just got back from a week of Punto driving through Italy, didn't spot a single GTA There were lots of 159s about, and the odd Brera. Only saw one Ferrari.
This afternoon, heading down the M4 towards London from Reading, I passed a transporter that was loaded to the hilt with Breras...not one of them returned my wave...snobby bit.....!

Re: GTA Roadwatch (was it you?)
Saw Red 156 Sportwagon GTA today on the M3 at about 9.30
I've seen 240Z's Lovely Blue GTA a few times in weybridge, saw him the other day heading down hanger hill but I was a bit bleary eyed so didn't spot him in time to wave.

Haha, hi Jon, I must say, you looked a bit like a stunned mullet that day! I sometimes head down to that park at lunchtime, if it's a nice day...any excuse to get out of the office
Are you down near the big roundabout at the bottom of Brooklands road? I've sometimes seen an old red Alfa like your avatar down there, but not sure if it is a spider or not...

Heavy night before I think
I live by the cricket green but i know the spider you're talking about it's a red S4 normally parked in front of one of the houses just past the roundabout.

I started off with a Japanese market '74 Fairlady (260z 2 seater 2 litre) and later had a '72 240z which I regrettably sold about 4 years ago...both cracking good cars which were well ahead of there time...although I would probably have trouble convincing a classic Alfa owner of that

Oh, I thought it looked newer than yours...dare I say a 240z versus a 280zx...fatter, softer, less sprightlier...?

Re: GTA Roadwatch (was it you?)
My dad had an original 300zx, and now has a later model 300zx twin turbo, although as a classic owner you may think they're abominations
They piqued my interest in the older ones then. I could certianly be tempted by a Super Samuri. A colour scheme of red and brown with a gold stripe sounds foul, but someone looks excellent on those cars.

Re: GTA Roadwatch (was it you?)
I saw the same guy I met in the petrol station again yesterday. He was in his lovely red 156 GTA on 17 inch multispokes following me in my new 155 along the seafront between lancing and worthing. Lovely car
I also saw a silver 156 GTA on 17 inch multispokes parked up in worthing!
So that's 3 156 GTAs all living within about 3 miles of each other!
