Too embarrassed to drive the car - Now with Autolusso.
My CV has decided to make its own way out today... If I'm in gear there is a loud knocking which is so damn embarrasing.
Off to Autolusso a week earlier now.

I think that's why he was going in the first place?
Driving a GTA with standard diff still in is like sticking 2 grand in a rucksack and leaving it on your back seat in a dodgy part of town..

Re: To embarrassed to drive the car
Well it was booked in on the 16th originally.
The CV will be covered by warranty anyway, so all in it may make the job cheaper for me.

Re: To embarrassed to drive the car
Ahh cool, so destroying your CV joint wasn't just an excuse to send it in for Q2ing - like me 'intentionally' blowing up my diff was

Sorry I'm thinking of the boot, not the joint. Ouch! It was just the boot that was knackered on mine..

It's not completely gone, but is making a nasty noise. Might be the DS itself.
Still Ned will have to look at it to see if that is what's wrong. Problem is I don't want to drive it. it sounds horrible. Might be a trailer job.

How's the steering Joe? I still have the bit of paper from the RAC man last week that says "nearside driveshaft failure" and we know how that turned out
Maybe best to stay on the safe side and keep her tucked up on the drive!

Re: To embarrassed to drive the car
Steering feels a little heavy, but no real difference. I'm so pleased I took out a warranty though.

Hmm, you could be OK then - mine was snatching very heavily to the left even just crawling round the car park. I have the broken diff in a box on my table and it's not a pretty sight!

Hope it all gets sorted soon. She'll be in good hands with Ned.

It will be interesting to see if the warranty covers it. Let us know how you get on with them.
