Why was the gearbox out? Are you getting a clutch as well? :hmm:

Nope just the standard one. The one in there now has lasted 78,000 miles and was on its way out! Good innings though.

78K is good innings. My JTD had chewed its way through TWO clutches by the time it'd done 110K.

It's fun to chuck about but my god does it feel slow.

I gave it a nice polish and hoovered out the interior! Looks great now! Lovely tan interior.

What colour's the exterior? The tan leather looks awesome in a GTV, I always thought the Cup should have got either tan leather or possibly black leather, even though cloth seats are more practical, cool in summer, warm in winter, I don't care cause leather is.. well.. leather!

Aren't we the best customers!

Did my GTA look sorry for itself?

It's the midnight blue exterior like your old JTD...

Although I would of rather had a red one.

Hehe, we are - I cleaned the interior up a bit too but to be fair it was full of bits of leaf

Your GTA was 8 feet in the air with no front wheels and no gearbox, looked distinctly mid-surgery. I got the feeling though that it knew as soon as it was over it'd be worth the wait and the unpleasantness

Should have a nice light clutch and a surprising amount of grip on the corners.

I'm having a serious think about suspension at the moment too.

My JTD was Vela but I know the one you mean now, I think it was there when I was down for my Q2 last month.. And I agree, red is better for a GTV especially with tan leather. Jayson's diesel hybrid GTV had a full Alfa Rosso respray, it was absolutely pristine and the tan leather just set it off, it was the cherry on the cake.. Even sounded pretty good too

Re: Too embarrassed to drive the car - Now with Autolusso.

I would suggest if you are planning doing more than the odd trackday a *decent* coilover kit would be the way to go.
Once you have adjustable damping and a sensible not too hard spring rate you can set the car up just the way you like it - and everybody is different.
