I know Parkers isn't always right, but they have a 2002 "52" plate 156GTA @ between £4500 & £5500 on a private sale with 60000 miles. That one has 73000 miles.

I suppose, but a quick search would show that there aren't any others on the market at anywhere near that price... even OperationAlfa's was £6/7k wasn't it?

Might be a desperate sale but the ad doesn't say anything.

It is a scam as the car is on other sides for over £7000.

Rather than email him and call him names, it's best to report it to pistonheads to have it removed immediately.

It's an Edinburgh car and is on ebayjust now at buy it now £7500, I reckon he has just made a typo on the price!

Scam.

The scam is - there is no car.

They either ask for a deposit up front, or the full value. Car is usually out of the country, or similar.

thats the scam? Well anyone who pays a deposit or the full value of a car before even seeing deserves to be scammed. Seriously, there are a few basic requirements to being a thinking member of the human race

Blah, Christ knows, but some bloke tried scamming me for my Galant when it was up for sale, Saying he wanted me to ship it and everything and that he'd send me a cheque, he lived in the states etc etc...

Well - the new one has been withdrawn again this morning. Wonder if it'll appear again this afternoon. £2.50 perhaps?

Well, I sent him the money for it in cash in a brown envelope and he said if I swing by at the weekend I can pick up the car!

Bargain eh??? Only £3000, I managed to knock him down a bit! Woohoo!
