Rolling Road last night.
I did a late night rolling road at Red Dot last night.
Baring in mind my car has an AD remap and induction pipe it was only kicking out 240BHP.
It has a 147 GTA map on it at the mo which is slightly different from the 156 one
Anyway, Augusto is creating me a few custom maps over the next few days. I will go back and test some out.

Re: Rolling Road last night.
Not sure yet chris. The GTA's are normally a fair bit under the quoted 247, but with the AD remap I was expecting at least 250.

Maybe you should give her the Forte gas treatment? That stuff is used by Alfa service garages.

I dont think that a fair statement, mine unserviced and bog standard did 258BHP last year on Dastek dyno in shootout mode. Maybe your MAF is dying.
Can you map the car on the standard map and get some A/F ratio logging?

Not until I get back in there.
I do have the A/F ratio logged from the AD map.
258 on standard! That's awesome!
The last GTA Augusto had in there on standard gave out 232BHP.

Re: Rolling Road last night.
Aren’t at the fly figures a bit ropey when it comes to rolling roads; the accuracy of the transmission loss calculation is down to the operator.
I would take more note of at the wheel figures.
PS. I am far from an expert on this subject.

That's a bit of a disappointment, where in the rev range did it make that? You'll have to post up the graphs..

MAF is a possibility, even if it is slightly dirty it can cause a dodgy reading. I wonder if having it directly above the filter box is the best placement? My CDA attached directly to the AD intake pipe, the MAF then comes after that, just before the flexi-section. I reckon this should mean the airflow is pretty constant just after coming out of the AD pipe, so should give a very true reading.. Anyway, A/F reading should breathe some more light on things. Problem with the V6 engines is how rich they have to run at high revs to avoid detonating.. I've heard of 11:1 when running at WOT in open loop..

261bhp is much better.. How does Bacon's feel to drive in comparison? I think Angel were claiming 267bhp for remap alone from standard..

Now Driving: Alfa 156 3.0 24v V6, Silver with red leather, Q2 diff, 17" GTA Teledials, Tarox Sport Japan grooved brakes, BMC CDA, GTA inlet manifold, AutoDelta carbon intake, SuperSprint exhaust, Dastek Unichip & FK coilovers - my 245bhp beast!
Gone but not forgotten: Alfa 156 2.4 JTD Veloce, Vela Blu, Angel 'mad map' & CDA, Ferodo DS2500s - the fastest tractor in town!

Yes, very ropey, depends how the whole thing has been calibrated. I wouldnt worry about the car at all, 240bhp shows its working pretty well
What fuel were you using?

When I had mine booked in with Augusto, for an 'extremely peaky' map, he asked me to bring it in on 95 RON. I think the idea was to push the engine to its limits on 95, and then run it on 97 or so. But mapping it on 95 was more like a safety thing.
Anyway, the purchase fell through so I couldn't get it mapped, but I do remember that is what he said..
Are you getting your GSR pipe any time soon then Joe?

I will fill up on VP next time. Must run the tank dry first, then £10 of VP, then empty, then full tank of VP.

I don't think 240 is bad at all. Using VPower mine did 239.3 and 237.1 completely standard before the remap and then 246.8 after with a CDA in as well. This was in August though when it was quite hot.
You don't seem to be struggling on the road so I wouldn't be worried.

Re: Rolling Road last night.
Are there not a few people on here that have seen no increase or even a decrease from changing the standard induction? Has anyone done a directly comparable before and after with no other changes? I'm pondering the AD induction at the mo, purely for a little more noise (but only under hard acceleration, unlike with an aftermarket exhaust).
