rev sensor in 147gta sele

i believe I may need to replace the rev sensor to sort out an issue with my sele, can anyone tell me where it is located and if it is possible to replace/remove it without a mechanic/garage ?

The sensor runs off the flywheel, apparently the front downpipe (front-front-pipe) needs to be removed to gain access, there, there should be a cover housing it, the wire at the other end's connected inside the box under the resonator of the intake pipe.
