Check your top engine mount

The mount on my 2.5 also failed, so I guess a heads up for any 6 potter.

I'll have to have another look, maybe I was getting it wrong. This mount is attached to the body close to the drivers side suspension turret, right?

The mount on my lads 156 V6 is flapping around like a - well, you know.

Still get traction torque relayed from the wheels though, regardless of the crank, block, cylinders, configuration, on a transverse don't you?

Confusion explained:
Three bolts through the bracket - two attaching it to the turret, one connecting to the rest of the mount.

definitely only 2 bolts.
I've just taken a pic of my old one, will attach when I have more time.

here is the tear in the rubber which you will probably see if your tie bar is knackered.

No, I just left it out...

of course i replaced it!




you could easily pull the centre out of the bracket!

And the bottom engine mount was fubar'd too on mine!
