Re: Just Got a GTA

yeah the 156 is faster being a more aerodynamic shape and more planted at speed Someone told me they are limited to 155mph can anyone confirm if this is the case?

Re: Just Got a GTA

I don't think they are limited at all, 155mph is as fast as they go through power/aerodynamics..

Welcome aboard!

If you fancy a schlep up the A1M and into the sticks I would recommend Jamie Porter's at Royston.

Have had several unpleasant experiences with Desira so wouldn't advise darkening their doors.

Re: Just Got a GTA

Welcome aboard mate!

The GTA looks great. As does the Coupe! I had a 20 VT myself until recently, traded it in with a member on the forum for a 156 2.0 TS as the commute to work wasn't designed for a 220BHP car,

By all accounts AutoDelta are the place to go. They seem to be willing to go the extra mile, especially for members on here. Autolusso is a member on here by the way, as is Jamie from the AlfaWorkshop, although he doesn't come on here very often.

Haha , pud, i bet he cant get anywhere near 32mpg like, maybe if he drives everywhere at 40mph in 6th. I manage less than half that. Be interesting to see how his mpg pans out. In fact i'm gonna search for a GTA mpg thread, if there is one.

Re: Just Got a GTA

I've done three airport runs now, York -> Manchester -> York, 180 miles and its clocked dead on 30mpg every time. Thats going steady, no hard acceleration and sitting at 70-80. I'm quite impressed! I would have thought a GTA would beat it due to the longer 6th gear.

Sooner or later the power starts to feel normal, and you resist the urge to bray it everywhere. Then you start looking at Superchargers and drawing up 5-year prospective income and outgoings charts, and wondering if you could afford it..

Yeah, a friend of mine has a Bentley Turbo R and he was gutted that my speedo goes to 200.

If you go for the 400 bhp 3.7/3.8 supercharger etc, you might get quite close, no?

I've used them, they are great, Jamie is very knowledgable. I've recently been using Auto Lusso and I would recommend them highly - Ned is great at giving advice and offers some nice combinations of stuff. Very chuffed at the work they have just done for me (and they are closer than the Alfa Workshop to me).

No experience of Autodelta though.

Cheers,

Nigel

I would have no hesistation in recommending the Alfaworkshop (Jamie Porter) if you're in the north of london Area.

Congrats on the car.

I can recommend Alfarama, Stanmore - about 30 mins from you - I've used them for 17 years.

Not really, with standard management anyway. Get it remapped for 98 octane and you should see a few horses more.
