MattyB, i called Larini, and the dude, very abrupt over the phone told me that they don't make anything for Alfa Romeo, which i don't beleive cos i'm sure someone on the forum mentioned they have one on their GTV...
Kriessieg are also nice and seeing as you have a 147 GTA, they can sort you out for about 400,000 japanese yen...
just check them out on you tube. sound like formula 1 cars..
Cheers

Matty - have you heard the Unicorse example I have posted a few times? Absolutely stunning noise it makes, from just a backbox swap you wouldn't believe it possible.
Here it is, one more time:

If they make them for the bloomin' MX5 hairdressers cars, why the hell not for Alfas, esp the V6 crowd???
Give Hayward & Scott a try. Will custom build you to YOUR spec ie tailpipes, sound.

Re: Larini or Quicksilver Exhausts - anyone got one?
I'm not keen on custom mades. I know it sounds like bit contradictory, but I'm really picky about my car, and if its not spot on, it bothers me.
I'd be concerned that they'd make it based on my spec, and it wouldn't be quite right. At least with a pre-made, off the shelf item, you know what to expect :P
I've now narrowed it down to a CSC Quad, or a Supersprint Double....hmm...

Speak to a member called Tahir on here, I know he has a CSC on his 147 GTA, IIRC he wasn't best pleased with it.

The Larini guy's telling porkies or they've changed their policy within the last few weeks. Every AROC magazine at least up until February this year had heavy advertising for sports and stainless systems for GTV's and Spiders. What's more they carried an AROC member discount! Because of this I have one fitted to my Spider.
Very odd.

Re: Larini or Quicksilver Exhausts - anyone got one?
Just read Tahir's post. He's not keen on the CSC, but I think its the appearance rather than the noise? Said he didn't like the internals, but surely you don't see that?
Incidentally, he went the unsilenced route, something I was thinking of, but apparently its a nightmare to fit. Alfa's standard pipes are 60mm, Supersprint is 70mm and CSC backbox is 60mm, so a bit of re-welding required there!

Got a CSC on mine and it sounds brilliant, but not quite loud enough for me.
IIRC, Tahir has a CSC back box with a Supersprint centre pipe. There wouldn't be a problem fitting a standard bore centre pipe with the CSC back box: that's what I'm going to do if I keep my car!

Bit cheaper than the £870+Del for the Supersprint one though!
Any chance of some pics, Vader?

Thats is very contradictory as a custom place can make it to your liking with sound, looks etc. with a CSC or SS you have to deal with the sound they want. you can't change it if its too boomy or whatever. the bonus with a custom system is that it's unique. plus the price is always better. I'd always have a custom job over a remus, CSC, Larini, Supersprint, insert generic performance exhaust name here.
but each to their own eh?

Have you heard the SuperSprint dual outlet single backbox? Swanny has one on his GTA, and at the Dales meet it sounded mint! It made my SuperSprint oval sound like a VroomBox

The right hand side of DV's box sticks out about an inch more than the left. I think he told me he was changing it though.
Tahirs GTA sounds so nice.. that's why I like th CSC.

Is your exhaust all still standard then? If you haven't heard the new SuperSprint box in the flesh then do listen to it first, I'm not just saying it cause mines SS, regardless of brand I don't think I've heard a nicer V6 in the flesh.
I think if I had to change my back box I might get a Unicorse one though..

Re: Larini or Quicksilver Exhausts - anyone got one?
My 3L 166 has got a Ragazzon back box on it. Sounds well hard from 4,000 revs onwards! Came with the car. Didn't really pay any attention to it when I bought the car, but glad it's on. Sweet sweet music. I hardly ever have the stereo on these days. Hwo needs it?
