rear brakes
Looking at my rear brakes they are in urgent need of attention. I need new discs and new pads... soo question is.. how much am I looking at?
The fronts are fine by the way.

Re: rear brakes
On ePER, the discs are about £59 each and the pads another £50 or so for the whole axle. Nice easy job.

I bought mine from Shop4parts 21 quid each disc(brembo as i surprisingly found out) and about 30 quid for the pads(magnetti marelli).

Re: rear brakes
Joe, what about a set of DS2500s for the rear? You'll never have to change them again and will be sorted for if you ever upgrade the pads and discs at the front..

Can't see the point of such an agressive pad on the rear. I think the standards will be fine. When I get around to changing the front, we'll be going for either the DS2500 or the PF pads.

Re: rear brakes
Guys, any recommendations for rear pads to go with the PF fronts? Obviously the fronts do most of the work but, presumably with such stopping power up front, you would want to go one better than standard at the rear, to keep the balance... Or does the weight transfer cause the rear tyres to unweight more, thereby negating the need for stronger rear brakes?
Also, does anyone know how many channel the ABS system is?

Re: rear brakes
Performance friction pads.. They are even better than the DS2500 pads by all accounts. I believe Ned is importing them.

Re: rear brakes
Oh right, I was thinking it was performance fricton pads as in general, not an actual manufacturer called Performance Friction.
Excellant, I'll keep an eye out when I need to replace my EBC ones if they'll do them for the 284mm disks.
Cheers,
Mark

And there is always the DS2500 which are cheaper and by no means shoddy.
