310mm discs

Hi all,

I have noted continued mention of GTA disc upgrades - 305 to 330. Are the 305s just not upto it or are the heating up too much and warping?

Just that I note that early V6 (2.5 & 3.0) 166s come standard with 308s and later 166 V6s (3.0 & 3.2) come with 310s. I have never heard of any real issue with the discs. Would a 330 upgrade be possible on existing caliper or does that get changed also.

Also thought that the 310 discs might be an easy cheap upgrade for you GTAers - Plenty of 166s being scrapped!

It has to be Italian! Fiat, Lancia & Alfa all my days.

My Alfas - 164 3.0 12v - 156 1.8 SP1 - 164 3.0 24v - 156 SW 1.8 SP3 - 166 Super - 166 3.2 Ti - Brera SV JTDM

Larger radial type brembos need to be fitted also.

I had mine upgraded under warranty. The original 305's were warped at 20,000 miles.

Re: 310mm discs

You can't use 166 discs either.
They are 108x5 PCD not 98x5 PCD.

Ah David - I knew that just forgot!

I did wonder why they had two different sizes but so close! Interesting that the heavy 166 has no issues with its 310s though!

My bro has a GTA that has had the 330mm upgrade under warranty - Looks good and brakes well.

According to ePER, the same discs are used for all V6 166.
So 308 & 310 are actually the same item...!
