Thumbs Up Fix for CD stuck in Connect Nav+

Hi,

I've had a strange problem today with the Connect Nav+ in my GT. I'd been playing a CD in the head unit and for some reason when I pressed eject it waited for a few seconds and then displayed "CD Error" and the disc stayed stuck in the player. I tried turning the system on and off a few times, with and without the ignition on and I even tried removing the fuse to the unit, but I still kept getting the "CD Error".

In the end I thought I'd try 'helping' the CD out by gently pushing a thin piece of cardboard in the centre above the CD and then pulling it out as I pressed eject. I could feel the cardboard hitting the pressure plate which holds the CD in place and fortunately when I hit eject the CD finally came out. The player seems to be working OK now with no more jams and the CDs are playing fine.

Hope this helps if you ever encounter this problem.

Dan
