Strut brace?

Anyone know the pros/cons on fitting one of these to a GTA?

Re: Strut brace?

pros: theoretically stiffens the chassis though may not be immediately apparent (by the seat of your pants); over time, will reduce flex and therefore reduce the entire chassis from softening/becoming loose; a stiffer chassis translates into better handling and suspension performance; cosmetic
cons: cost, weight, no obvious benefit (if you can't feel the effect, some people would say it's a waste), cosmetic

Re: Strut brace?

A strut brace isn't really needed on the front (for traction at least) as I understand it, unlike a mcpherson setup where wheel camber and contact with the road can change with chassis flex via load, this doesn't happen on double wishbone suspension, camber stays the same. The rear could possibly benefit more from having one fitted there.
