Dipped beam bulbs

Help! Just fitted a new Osram Silverstar +50% to the car. I didnt get any fitting instructions with them, and on removing the old bulb it sort of fell out before I could see which way round it was. Am I right in thinking the flat bit of the base points upwards? It seems to fit snugly whichever way I put it

Look at the other side?

They are usually keyed with a dimple/cutout (can't remember which).

Re: Dipped beam bulbs

so long as the globe sits 'flat', it will be fine. but there should only be ONE orientation to achieve this, cos of the metal tabs.

if you can't see from behind, then look from infront, into the headlight assembly. if the globe is not seated properly, you will see it on a slight angle instead of straight ahead.
