Re: 147 GTA upgrade advice!!!!!!!
The AD sportline Corse Coilovers are excellent.
Adjustable dampers to suit your mood.
Q2 Torsen diff is amazing value, £500 fitted or so.
I would knock those two off in that order before worrying about engine mods.
To improve brakes, Performance Friction or Ferodo DS2500 pads are a big improvement (Perfromance Friction are more streetable).
For handling stiff rear ARB from whiteline is superb, but only if you are already familiar with the cars handling.
Replace wishones when they wear with poly bushed versions.
The car is close to perfect with all of the above.
Cheers,
TB

Re: 147 GTA upgrade advice!!!!!!!
nice purchase.
in terms of performance (it depends on your priorities) i would recommend:
*quality tyres (and correct pressures): pirelli PZero, michelin pilot sport 2, bridgestone RE050, etc
*suspension: upgraded dampers (eg: KONI Sport or FSD, Bilstein B6) +/- springs (eg: Eibach Pro Kit), or coilovers
*drivetrain: Q2 differential
*brakes: braided brake lines, fresh brake fluid, upgraded pads
these are likely to yield the biggest tangible improvements. then you can finesse it from there: exhaust, chip, cosmetics, etc.

Re: 147 GTA upgrade advice!!!!!!!
This is what I did to my GTA - when I finished, she had next to no roll, much improved braking feel with much less fade, wonderfully enhanced V6 engine sound (though not too loud since I didn't change the tailpipe), and absolutely tremendous grip with the 01Rs:
Potenza RE-01R tires
Arqray front pipe
Asso Sports Intake Pipe
Performance Friction Brake Pads
Braided Brake Hoses & Upgraded Fluid
Aragosta Shocks & Springs (12 position)
K&N Sports Filter
ARC Anti-Roll Kit
Unicorse Titanium Tower Bar
Bollente Rear Parallel Link
Bollente Front Lower Bar
Redpoint Fiberglass Engine Undercover

Re: 147 GTA upgrade advice!!!!!!!
I would like know what brand of braided lines for our GTA???
I realise goodridge doesn't do GTA (at least their website stated for all 156 exclude GTA). so far I only know Autodelta does but I prefer goodridge is possible.

Goodridge is what I had in my 147GTA - I had always assumed they did it for other models as well...

Re: 147 GTA upgrade advice!!!!!!!
Hi all,
When I put goodridge hoses onto my track Alfa 33 with GTA brakes - (yes I know - I really did want to stop before the bends, but if you have ever driven a 33 you would appreciate going to extremes on brakes) I had a requirement to fit obviously non standard brake lines.
So, what I did was took a brake hose off a 33 and one off a GTA offered them up to the car to check I had the correct flex length and looked at the connections at each end. I had some spare 33 goodridge hoses for a 33 to start with that were long enough and looking at the GTA connection just went onto the goodridge website and ordered a set of new ends to fit the GTA brakes. On their site they give you full instructions about fitting ends to their pipes etc.
What I am really driving at is that if you wanted true goodridge hoses buy as set that is close as possible, cut the ends of and fix on the correct ones. It's really easy to do. A couple of ring spanners, hacksaw or grinder, bench vice if you have one just to hold things and bobs your uncle!
This isn't the cheapest thing to do as goodridge components are expensive - but as always 'you pays your money and takes your choise.....'

The Goodridge website doesn't show GTA model
Goodridge catalogues seem confusing, and depends which country you check!
GOODRIDGE GLOBAL | Home
*UK/French/US catalogue: no part listed for GTA/GT
*Dutch (Netherlands) catalogue:
156GTA sedan: XAR-3174-B4
156GTA SW: XAR-3175-B4 (i didn't know the 2 cars had different brakelines - maybe they don't?)
157GTA: XAR-2661-B4 and XAR-13719-B4 (?why 2 different numbers?)
GT JTS/JTD: XAR-13743-B4
GT V6: XAR-12191-B4
*German catalogue:
147GTA/156GTA/GT V6: TAR0250-4P
so i guess they're available, but no idea which part number to use! especially when the NL catalogue indivdualises every model car, but the German catalogue lists the same kit for all our cars!

GT . 3.2L V6 . Q2 . Kyalami Black - Red . Eibach . KONI . ATP 19" . TOYO . Mille Miglia exhaust

Re: 147 GTA upgrade advice!!!!!!!
I ordered the one for 156GTA. I'm still waiting for shipping cost confirmation. If you like to get hold of a set. We can order together to share the shipping if you like.

Guys.. let me know if it makes any difference to the feel/bite.
The brakes on the GTA are great but dont get much initial bite.

Re: 147 GTA upgrade advice!!!!!!!
For me I found the lack of intial bit was just with the rather conservative oem pads.
DS2500's and especially Performance Friction for the road have much more bite, and you clearly know where you stand with the car.
Braided hoses help with the feel for really hard braking, you don't get the mushy/soft effect when you really really need to feel what is going on..
