As the title says I'm looking to get one of the above but wonder if it's worth waiting for the Giulia. Any views?

I've currently got a Giulietta 1.4 MA 170 and will be looking to move it on soon but can't decide what to do.

I've already had the multi air unit replaced so don't want to much messing round with more problems if I were to get a nearly new G cloverleaf. What is their reliability like? I know it's a different engine but the multi air fault is infamous, are there any similar problems with the cloverleaf?

If I were to get a new one then issues would be covered by the warranty, but it looks like 2nd hand nearly new ones are very reasonably priced.

Price will be a factor but obviously there are no prices for the Giulia yet but I wonder if there will be good incentives so that they can get the car on the road upon release? Similarly I wonder if there is or will be any good offers on the Giulietta Cloverleaf.

If neither of the above then there is an offer on the VW Golf GTE for £259 per month but I would far prefer to stay with alfa!

well, you'll be paying 5-8k more for a similar Guilia compared to a Giulietta from the prices I've seen. List, that is. But a new model doesn't get much discount while an older one does, so the difference will easily rise above 10k...

That's excluding the Giulia QV which costs BMW M3 money.

No particular issues with the Giulietta QV yet, only the stuff common with all models.

The engine fitted to the Cloverleaf/QV (1.7 TBi) doesn't have MultiAir, so you shouldn't have any bother there!

Think a few had turbo problems, but not heard anything recent about it & it could happen to any turbo engine I suppose. Evidence of attentive servicing/oil changes is particularly important though.

If only I was looking at the giulia QV, unfortunately I was trying to decide whether to wait for the 2.0l petrol engine giulia or look at the Giulietta QV now. I think the standard petrol engine giulia is reported to push out just under 200bhp, not too far off the Giulietta QV.

I do about 15k a year so both engines may be a bit impractical, but I really don't want a diesel.

Anyone have experience of the Giulietta Cloverleafs mpg? I'm currently getting 43 out of my Giulietta 1.4 MA 170.

I'm the same boat. I bought my G as a stop gap waiting for the Giulia. I'm thinking do i want to be one of the first to buy a mid range Giulia, I've been told never to by buy a brand new model. I bought an Audi A4 in 2001 Y plate and was one of the first UK buyers of the new model and had to go in three times for recalls, software and brakes ...

It's nice being one of the fist and having a rare car, but that only last 6 months and not worth the bother.

The deals on Giulia is'nt going to be as good as the mid life G, you can get 7k off list from drive the deal website.

So maybe get a 3 year deal on a G QV then buy a Giulia in three years down road when more is known.

Rick , I never put you down as a person who would've bought a new Audi in 2001. I did too, buying a loaded A2 for my wife and paying A4 money for it! Turned out to be a frietag auto so we traded it for the A3 Sportback ordered before launch from photos. Moved away from Audis when the got tasteless by intro of Q7.

In answer to above question about GQV mpg, I am getting around 30mpg with mixed driving in my "2014 onwards" TCT.
