Drunk Dynamic Mode = Bunch of Grapes

SO. As I was approaching a post milestone and just spent 540 miles in the car the last two days I thought I would ask a big question that has been troubling me for some time.

Why does Dynamic mode bring up a bunch of grapes on the dashboard?

Apparently on a sunny day, with the sun in your face, as you go into a tunnel, whilst wearing sunglasses, it looks like a chequered flag, but every day to me it looks like a bunch of grapes, is it just me that noticed this?

There is in mine. A wavey plastic insert that takes up a chunk of space but, for me who travels light, is very handy for the iPod!

(With the "chiller" function could have a nice bottle of white ready and waiting! )

They made it a £20 option in October 2011 price lists, comes with the air conditioned glovebox.

i've always been puzzled by this and thought they were grapes as well, but kind of knew they couldn't be. even in alfaworld, that's just too quirky! perhaps we should see them as a bunch of grapes dangling in front of you just out of reach, encouraging you to go just that little bit faster. or 'grapes of wrath' for road rage mode.

Definitely not just you. I too see it as a bunch of grapes. I figure it's a finish flag, but it definitely looks like a bunch of grapes.

Think yourself lucky - before the grapes (flag) the very early MiTo's inexplicably showed a ladybird in Dynamic mode - I still dont know what that was supposed to be!

Can't believe you all think it's a flag/grapes. It's clearly the home of a funnel web spider.

some people thought that the mito one looked like a strawberry, it was supposed to be a stopwatch! maybe a decendent of salvador dali had a hand in it.

Perhaps rock, paper, scissors would be better?

Or animal, vegetable mineral ? ( say monkey, carrot and a rock)

This grape/hameroid Graphic is the kind stuff a committee at VW would not come up with!
Love it!
There's probably a committee in Wolfsburg trying to copy it in a sensible way though, maintaining the "fun" level.

Grapes....now that you mention it! But I think it's supposed to be the ECU performance map, representing the increased parameter values in D-mode
