Alfa Romeo Giulietta QV

About to order my GQV!! Anything I've missed?

Hi guys

I'm in Canberra, Australia and I'm about to sign on the dotted line and start the countdown till my new Giulietta QV arrives!

I figured I'd throw it out there one last time to make sure I haven't missed anything or forgotten something important! Here's what I'm about to lock in:

White 2012 Giulietta QV
Premium Pack (leather + sunroof)
Lower door trim + side skirts
Front air dam
Rear bar diffuser
Illuminated kick plates
Driver/passenger window tint to match rear windows
Mat set
Boot mat
Full Ragazzon exhaust with '102 Racing' tips - dealer fitted

Now that I've typed it out, it feels like I must be missing something!! haha

If anyone has any thoughts/advice/recommendations for any other questions/requests I should give my dealer, it would be very much appreciated!!

Cheers
Adam

Thanks Dan!

I've been reading everyone's posts with interest for a few weeks now and very much looking forward to joining the QV owner 'club'!

Unfortunately it looks like I'll be waiting until early July, but my birthday is in July, so will make the perfect present to myself! Haha

I'll definitely note the full tank! :P

That looks like a pretty darn fine spec!

Have you thought about the ever sing sensors (or do they come as standard in Australia)?

Hey Tirreni

Thanks! Fortunately they're standard on the QV here, as is the TomTom port!

I'm also lucky that my dealer is allowing me to source the Ragazzon system myself, but will fit it for me prior to delivery

G'day Mate

I have had a QV on order here in Melbourne since Feb. Still have no idea when I might get it. The dealer tells me nothing!

But what I am interested in is all your upgrades. Are these to be fitted at the factory, or fitted after the car arrives here in Australia? I have looked at the accessories brochure on the Alfa Australia website, but some of the ones you've listed for your car aren't on there. Illuminated tread plates for example.

Has your dealer in Canberra given you a list of what is actually available? And how did you find out what they cost?

Thanks.

Hey Mulga

Hope you don't have to wait too much longer to get your hands on the GQV!!

All the accessories are being fitted by the dealer and, for the most part, are apparently "in stock". When I originally enquired, my dealer just asked for the product codes and said that anything on the website was definitely available. When I asked about the illuminated tread plates, they confirmed with 'Parts' that they're also available. They are going to order all the parts in advance, so they can be painted, etc and ready to fit as soon as my car arrives

When I went in to find out pricing, they did have an accessories list they let me take a look at, which had pricing on it, but didn't provide me a copy unfortunately I do have individual pricing for each of the parts I'm getting though...

Let me know if there's any more info I can give you which might help?

I have written before about the illuminated scuff plates but to reiterate they are great . The labour charge for fitting is something like 1.5 hours but it's worth it!

The importers of Alfa into Australia (or at least the importers up until 1st May) are not known for their common sense or logic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Er no they are bixenons

When you apply main beam or flash the lights the xenon swivels up. There is a supplementary halogen bub as well but full beam is xenon hence bixenons

I do wish I had the xenons. With the LEDs bright white and the normal lights and off white. I'd prefer them both

At least the normal G main beams are ok, the Brera/159 ones are terrible.

I had Xenons on the Brera and I think that it also had halogen full beams as well as the xenons.....

Having had a brief look at the xenons on the G I think it does the same - certainly the xenons move and an extra set of lights come on too....
