Its good practice to fit new pads when fitting new discs as the old pads will most likely already be quite worn and will be grooved to match the old discs.

Do you have standard callipers or Brembo's?

There are some pads for the QV (or any with red calliper upgrade) on ebay

Sorry. This language stuff is hard I meant "original" as in "the same type of brake pad as he had before".

Other than that, I was curious about the change of discs and pads. The OEM pads are nice, allround pads, and swapping them for performance pads aren't necessarily smart. Depends on the use ...

Ah, fair enough. You are quite right the standard Alfa pads are very good.
I'm not sure what discs the OP is fitting. If they are grooved and cross drilled they might eat standard pads quite quick though but i'm no expert on this.

dont have brembos ..just the standard ate calipers... may be doing a few track days... thats the only reason for the pad change...have got pagid pads on order through work(we are distributor for these) they will be as good as alfa original as they are an oe supplier.... just wondered if anyone else had looked or found anything..thats all.....

going for the discs as apart from quality of tarox think they will look the part too..they are the G88 grooved ones..

I dunno if Freddy makes them for the Giulietta yet but Ferodo DS2500 pads are a soooperb pad.

They need a few prods to warm them up (you do eventually have a car-park barrier moment ) but from then on they are ferodociously good. They seem to last forever and they don't grieve the disc too much.

I have them with Red Dot grooved discs on my 155 (v6) and I never had a better combo' for road use.
