vibration

Hi All

I own a 1750 quad and have had this annoying vibration under load between 120km/h and 140km/h. I have done the balancing twice, replaced teh brake disks but its still there. Its worse when there is a heavy load like going up a hill but i can still feel it when slacking off. Any thoughts?

As far as I can see yes. The dealer thought spider gears on the Cv and replaced them but no luck on that

Could be one or more of the tyres are out of round or warped. I had that on the 166, and it manifested itself only at quite high speeds and more so under load. No amount of regular wheel balancing could remedy it, and it didn't go away until I tossed the old tyres and got new ones. The old tyres were expensive Bridgestones, but they were at least five years old.

Something that a lot of people aren't aware of: Tyres have a working life of only four years.

After that, you need to toss them out, regardless of wear. The compound dries out, hardens and loses the ability to flex. It's not just a ride-qaulity problem either: you run a much higher risk of blow-out with old tyres.

The manufacture date of your tyres is written on the sidewall, written as WK/YR (so "31/11" is the 31st week of 2011).

Paul,

I had vibration on my MA after hitting a small pothole (causing microtear in tyre)... When I put my foot down there was vibration and at high speed 120km-140mkh that same vibration was there. Perhaps you guys have tyre issues?

It feels like a tyre issue. Planning to replace the fronts they are too worn to make rotating worthwhile
