Bits dropping off

Moved the car forward a bit on the drive and under where the engine was is a shiny 10 mm bolt!

Then noticed the rubber between the drivers door and rear passenger door was coming off.

As a southerner I always thought that the people driving the Alfas with those stickers must work for a company called Mangoletsi as civil engineers or something .

That is not good news at all - sorry to hear that. Hope you get it sorted soon. Doesn't help in the reputation stakes.

So far mine is fine but only 105 miles but 170 miles to do on Monday - want to rack up the early miles as soon as possible so that I can try D out! Using the Tirreni model, then 600 miles to go until I can open her up fully!

I've done 700 miles now and gone upto 4000 rpm in D its good to feel the difference if your on part throttle at about 2000 rpm and knock it into D.

I've had a good look around today and noticed none of the door stays or hinges were greased. They are now!

And all tyres were at 2.5 Bar!

Sounds a bit like when people buy a bicycle from the inter web and have to assemble it themselves . Perhaps they spent the ten mins putting their stickers on and hope to get some warranty revenue from the pdi they didn't do
Still my car had a dent on the leading edge of the bonnet from where the dealer closed it incorrectly. You won't get that if the bonnet has never been opened....

Checked the tyres on my ex-demonstrator (7 months and 2,300 miles) a few days after collecting it and found they were all about 25psi (1.7/1.8 bar). Do salesmen ever check the basics? And no they have not lost pressure since I put them up to the correct values.

Well I got my 'pre-owned' 'G' from that dealer beginning with M and it was pretty well sorted. Better than some other more local dealers have managed with cars that were pre-registered with delivery mileage. Funny actually because this is the only car I have ever owned where the dealers sticker is still on the back window - maybe it's because I don't want to damage the heated rear window element!! Might be getting a new set of number plates though.....

Have you only got the window sticker and not the huge bumper one?

It's my 4th Alfa from them. Good to deal with and I'm confident in them sorting out my problems.

Surely they have to ask your permission to stick crap on the paintwork!

I would have no issues with a little sticker on the windows but the paintwork

The dealer one on the rear window soon fades to pink on the red bits though!

So did they find out where the bolt came from?
