Black/silver headlight surrounds?
I see a couple of GQV's on the net with black headlight surrounds, it looks far better than the normal silver headlight surrounds I see. Was this an option???

The dark finish is on the Veloce and QV versions as they are known here in the Uk.

Cue can you tell the difference?
I would need to see them side by side to notice I think

In the UK darkened headlights are standard on the QV & Veloce models.
I wouldnt describe them as black but they are darker than the silver Turismo / Lusso.

The dark finish really makes the front end more aggressive, more elongated, more slated as oppose to the silver that makes the front end look more rounder

Could be why I wrote "The dark finish is on the Veloce and QV versions as they are known here in the Uk."! As a Lusso owner I find the difference visible.

Hello Giuli, fancy seeing you here....
All QV's should have the dark headlight surrounds in SA.

Both finishes are metalised so perhaps the dark finish is lacquered?

Hi Zefff, yes that's why I ask but its not the case, their lights look just like an MA's lights, also the ride height on a QV should be lower but its not!
Look at these lights, makes the car look much more aggro!

Hi
I think that is a custom job or an optical illusion because the lights are not black like that in the flesh, barely discernible IMO

Grille bars look like they may be carbon fibre ?
I have them ( cf ) for my QV but have not fitted them .
They took sooo long to arrive ,that I'd fallen in love with the standard grille .
I wish that photo was more focussed on the lights for a better comparison to mine .
Does LOOK darker than mine though .

It looks black, it can't be an optical illusion, have you guys seen how longer the nose looks because of this? The GQV is a strange car from various angles! If you look at any other GQV from the same shot their noses will always look round

It comes with any of the optional Sport packs here in Finland (Veloce in UK?).

South Africa's specs are very dissapointing. The cars come from the factory with NOTHING...a buyer had to preorder with any spec he or she wanted. If there was no order then the cars came in bare minimum spec, no leather, no bi-xenons, no this no that. So that you now find that new cars at the dealerships are all the same...some don't even have the 18" wheels let alone a dark treatment. I'm also suspecting that some GQV's over here do not have the sport suspension, I could be wrong though.

The QV over here has a lowish spec start point.
It has 18" dark turbines, side skirts, lower suspension, auto wipers & lights, privicy rear glass, darkened headlights, dark head lining and the same half leather / microfibre interior as the veloce spec version.
as per you:- Leather, Xenons, bose, parking sensors, nav, electric/heated seats, lumbar support etc are all extra.

Here you go Giuli, the Distinctive (1.4MA) offers the following, and the QV (1750TB) is the Distinctive plus the following extras. Note that the lowered sports suspension, side skirts and darkened headlights are standard. Also standard on 17's.
The Distinctive outfit offers the Progression options plus the following:
Dual zone automatic climate control
Steering wheel radio controls
Front armrest with storage compartment
17" Sport alloy wheels
Leather-trimmed steering wheel
Fog lights
Exterior Chrome line
White light Matrix Display
Competizione fabric interiors.
The Quadrifoglio Verde outfit offers the Distinctive options plus the following:
17” sporty alloys with hole design with tyres 225/45
Sports steering wheel in leather and red stitching
Sports ride with low suspension
Red oversized brake calipers
Side skirts
Aluminium sports pedal unit
Dark Brushed aluminium dashboard insert
Tinted windows
Dark finish headlights
Black interior
Satinised door mirror fairings
Cruise control
I've been trawling the net and I can't find a single QV that doesn't have the darkened headlights or lowered suspension for sale on the SA websites. I have seen a few second hand sales listing MA's as QV's though.
