Well, not quite. I'm about to swap my front original tyres that my GQV came from the factory with after 15,500 miles. How does that compare with other people and different G models? There is just over 1.7 mm left.
I've stuck with the original Pirelli Cinturato's that my car came with. Sadly due to the state of the roads where I live I have never worn out a tyre before it gets a puncture. I find the traction control etc does seem to prolong the life of the tyres, my old 147 JTD used to go through quality front tyres every 8,000miles, the G is much more powerful and I reckon I've managed about 12,000 before changing due to a puncture. In 4 years I've not managed to get a tyre down to the legal minimum tread depth so there must be some good electronic trickery going on because its a lot faster than the older car. I don't notice the electronic Q2 as much as I used to though?
My front Eagle F1 A2's have lasted about 15k, due for replacement in the next 3-4 months as getting close to the minimum mark but i'll be replacing with the same tyre!
Nearly 40k out of my P7, which is a whole lot better than the 10k at most I got out of my 156 2.4 and Eagle F1.
Currently on Crossclimates for winter, and Hankook Ventus prime2 for summer. Can't say how long they will last as I don't keep records of when I change the tyres. But the Michelin have 2 winters on them now with loads of thread left.
When I run out of hankooks and I have to pay for my tyres I'll get Goodyears again for summer use.
