Hi all,

As the title suggests, can you play music from your iPhone via the stereo in a Giulietta Cloverleaf?

The phone is paired fine via Blue&Me.

I have connected via the USB charge lead in the glove box but the Media button on the stereo only goes to CD. I note there is a sound adjusting option for MP3 and Aux so surely Aux is what I should be aiming for?

Not sure if I'm doing something wrong or if I have to do something via Blue&Me which I think is just for calls?

Any ideas, tips and help appreciated.

Loving the Giulietta QV!

When you press the Source button and it cycles through the radio bands, aux and CD does it not go to BlueandMe?

Also, when you press the phone button on the steering wheel, can you see USB options? You need to set your device to autoplay.

I've an old ipod plugged into mine but my phone also works as does the usb stick I have too and they all autoplay when the ignition is switched on.

OK - will try that. So you can't select Aux via the stereo head unit? It has to be done using the steering wheel controls? I've had a play but it didn't make obvious sense so will try as per your instructions with the iphone plugged into the USB socket in the glovebox.

When you say set to autoplay - do you mean in the car settings menu from the steering wheel somewhere or on the iphone itself!? If on the iphone, I better find out how to do that too!

I know I'm sounding like a bit of a luddite but it can't be that hard, surely!

When I have my iPod video or iPhone 4s connected I have the display below. This is using the USB in the glove box. The 4s was also connected via Bluetooth for phone functions. When not plugged in I don't get the option to select the blue n me media centre.

Never had any problems playing music. Can select artist, album, genre, playlist etc off the stereo buttons or via the steering wheel controls and dash display.

My G is a 2013 Sportiva with Bose (not that the Bose makes any difference!).

I only retain my apple stuff as I find car interfaces seem to work better with iPods/I phones. Run android for my newer phone and this doesnt connect half as well!

Cheers
Julian

Thanks for your help Julian. The media button doesn't give me a Blue&Me option with the phone plugged into the USB socket. May try another lead. Blue&Me phone function works fine.

I need a new antenna base. Could that cause any issues? Can't see it.

Anything else I need to check, select or try!?

Yes, I was using a white genuine Apple lead but it could be faulty. They're not the best at lasting a long time. Will try another one at home at the weekend - when I get a chance to have a play in the daylight!
