Anyone else got their Goodwood tickets from Alfa yet?
Mine arrived yesterday by registered post but all that was in there was a parking ticket, 2 VIP hospitality tickets and 2 ticket things for access to Goodwood House and something else for Sunday only. I was expecting actual tickets or wristbands (like arrived for my kids).
Am I missing something?
Yes, that's the thing that says "Enables entry to the sponsors enclosure and Goodwood House" on the back so I assumed that's only what it was for. I was looking for an entrance ticket to the event. Is that it then?
Mine arrived a few days ago. I seem to have 2 x Goodwood branded swing tags which identify me as a sponsors guest. The reverse says they give access to sponsors hospitality and Goodwood house, 2 x beer coaster type tags which say they give access to the Alfa hospitality area. I also have a little brochure.
I presumed the swingtag was the ticket - That's the way it works at the Mrs' horsey things.
Yep, that's what I got.
In the past I had actual entrance tickets (as per Facebook link above) so wasn't sure if the swingtags were the tickets or not. Doesn't say anything about admission to the event on them.
We'll be there on the Sunday. Let's hope it stays dry. I went once when it rained (a lot) and it wasn't fun. Especially trying to get out of what had been a car park but was eventually just a mud bath!
I got the swing tags too. I didn't check for barcodes and am not home now to look but assumed there is one as that's how it works for the members' meeting and you get scanned on the way in and out.
Hi, This is what I received a few days ago, this was as a person "interested in Stelvio" tickets to get in to Goodwood and landyard passes for A.R. Hospitality. I suspect no ticket no entry! A prompt call to AR UK is in order!
I had a similar hospitality package from JLR a few years back for GFOS. It didn't include entry (I didn't realise) and I had to buy a ticket on the gate. Luckily it was a day that wasn't sold out. Saturday is sold out now. I'd get on to them ASAP and check. They do scan you on entrance and as mentioned above there should be a barcode or something on the entrance ticket to get in.
I got 2 tickets to Thursday plus 2 VIP passes but no swing tags or lanyards (presumably AR will provide the latter on the day). I asked AR about parking and they said they weren't providing any parking passes and we have to use the free parking area.
Yes I have a QV, picked it up in March. I think they forgot about me to be honest and just gave me whatever was left as I had to ring them to tell them I hadn't received any notification about Goodwood.
Edit - Managed to quote the wrong post but you get the idea.
I thought I'd go direct to source so I just called the Goodwood ticket office. The lady said the "Sponsor's Guest" taggy/hanger thing with the string attached IS an entrance ticket as well. She said it's a posh one. Although she did add that you know you've really made it if it's metal (mine is card)!
So, panic over.
Just one question, what's the Sponsor's Enclosure?
I have the black Alfa VIP Hospitality tickets too which I presume means you can get into the hospitality area of the Alfa stand but what's the Sponsor's Enclosure?
"If you’re standing in front of Goodwood House on your left hand side is the Sponsors Enclosure, which your badges will get you into. There is a bar and food in there which is paid for as you go but it’s a great trackside spot to watch from."
Hi all, I'm off to Goodwood on Saturday and have the tickets for me and alfa mad son.
If anyone has any A R hospitality tickets that they're not using- I'd love to get them off you if possible?
Long shot I know.
Looking forward to the red arrows fly over on Thursday. I believe the traffic can be pretty horrendous around Goodwood but hopefully Thursday will be the quietest day to go.
Anyone coming to FOS, if you can at all approach Goodwood from the east, that way you avoid driving trough Chichester. Come down the A24 from the M25 then follow A29 signposted Bognor Regis that will bring you out at A27 Fontwell.
Its not that easy to explain. I did, last year, have a German registered Brera follow me (when I had mine), I signaled with my hand and he understood and followed me through the back lanes to avoid the queue on the A27, but dont worry, heading from the east will be miles better than the queue back to Havant from the west
