May it's a good idea instead of everyone starting their one thread with pics (which would be nice) but also experiences and questions (which would be nice to have them in one thread) I will do the start

I've got my Giulia in Montecarlo Blu last Saturday and what I can tell, not only by the looks, but by the first 500km of driving, what an awsome car this is.
As those Pirelli Corsa tyres are quite slippery she will stay in the garage until the weather is a bit less slippery though.

I can only start the thread with some iphone pictures but more are to follow

In Germany you won't get the cover as standard (it is something like 350 EUR). It is nice to look at, however there are some available, that are better quality.

My first 500km my fuel consuption on average was something around 10.9l/100km (23.5mpg) with cruising in and around town and about 400km of Autobahn (up to 150km/h)

The brighter the sun the better the blue. I like blue, even though it looks a bit "standard" when dark, but when the sund comes out you just got to love it.
I got her booked for a Gyeon Mohs+ treatment for the beginning of march as well. Beforehand the rear splitter will be changed as the were two small marks on in from the transport from Italy to Germany (I couldn't wait and had to get her before)

I've noticed the air/heat system really doesn't produce much air flow. Anybody else notes this? My old 159 sounded like a typhoon when spinning up into defrost mode but with the Guilia barely any air flow is output into the passenger cabin, although it is certainly heating the car.

Still in the break-in phase but already a quick visit to our belowed rivals ;-)

Confirmed by Tintin at AR that the car protection cover is just the temporary cover during transit, and that the will be taking this off their standard equipment list to avoid confusion. As above, the cover is available to purchase but I don't feel I would use it enough to justify paying for it.

Annoyingly I've hit a piece of snagging with the interior. I noticed the USB port panel in the dash (which always looked a bit out of keeping to me, improved in the Stelvio interior I note) was not fully flush with the rest of the dash and moved about a little. I've pushed it in but not it seems to be interfering with the cup holder cover panel, which does not retract backwards properly... I'm going to try and pop out the panel and fit again but otherwise it's going to a dealer. Exactly the kind of interior finish problem Alfa should be eliminating, or at least picking up on pre-deliery checks.

To wrap this up, the parts were refitted by an AR dealer and all resolved.

More interestingly I just came back from my first real ride in the Giulia of proper note. Temperatures were a balmy 14-15 degrees, the Corsas were therefore behaving themselves and I finally managed to let loose. Whipped my parents through a A/B road route from near Welling down to The Bell Inn in Outwood, Redhill. Some nice little stretches en-route, even if the presence of my mother prevented too much welly.

First real use of manual shifting and dynamic, as noted pretty much everywhere the difference between Natural and Dynamic is absolutely fundamental. So much noise, dynamism and incredible poise. You point the wheel and it goes! I have a solo run planned tomorrow on this route I found on PH, I'll hopefully give more thoughts and maybe a photo or two tomorrow:

That looks like a route I'll use to run the QV in when we get it. We're near Dartford and wife's parents are near New Romney so a nice little run. Cheers.
Getting ours from Ancaster in Welling.

How's the car on speed bumps by the way? I go to the cinema in Rochester a fair bit and there's some brutal ones on the road in. Don't think the QV will make it over. Care to test for me? ?

I recommend the run, though I could barely walk when I got out of my car at bluewater about 4 hours later! Hit some great stretches, pulled some overtaking with the ease that comes with 500bhp (both necessary and unnecessary) and got to really hear that engine. I'm going to have to make a habit of driving solo as I've effectively said it will never leave N or A with my wife in the car...

Regarding speedbumps, I've had no issues at all in my regular se london haunts. In fact ground clearance is better than my old 159 ti.

I'm round the corner from Bluewater. We should meet up once we get ours. Not seen any Giulias on the road at all yet.

Don't think my wife (and kids) will let me take it out of Dynamic to be honest! They're as bad as me. It was actually my wife that started us looking at the QV. Have had 2 x 156s and a 159 Ti Sportwagon before and she loves Alfas.

Good to hear re speed bumps.

QV unwrapped

6 more sleeps until I collect my first ever Alfa and the dealer has kindly sent me a few pictures of her being undressed. Shame the factory fitted the UK front number plate plinth, as I've bought the shorter Italian plinth and number plate for my 5 character cherished plate - doh!

Lovely looking car!

You're not alone re the plinth fitting as my car arrived like yours and I was a bit disappointed the dealer didn't have the foresight to check at what stage it would be fitted. I guess its the price paid for being an early adopter and I can't really complain as the dealer experience was top-draw overall.

The 5 digit number will still look great anyway.

I can't really remember when I ordered it, it was so long ago. I think I may have put £1k down in August to get my name on a list, but finalised the order in early October when the books opened. My car has been sitting waiting for me since January, as I didn't want it until 1st March.
@Barry Z - you're spot on. Weirdly, the dealer's showroom car came in after mine WITHOUT the front plate plinth fitted, so it was obviously something that the factory fitted on the first cars off the line. The dealer has been great and he is going to be sorting it. I hate the way the longer plate plinth overlaps the vent scoop at the end of the front bumper, but I confess to being a bit OCD about these things.

Any more photos from the lucky ones that have their cars already? I'm interested to see all the various colours.

As this was the first nice day of the year with decent temperatures (about 17C) I did the first proper run in the black forest and the pzero corsas make perfectly sense.
Superior front end grip during turnin and midcorner and a stable rear at endcorner. I did about 250km in race mode and full manual and felt very secure and confident.
