I've had the car for a few days now and am really loving it.

My Brera has been modified, including the suspension, and I wanted a complete change and went for a 4 door cruiser wth luxury options for the Giulia. The car is really quiet on all roads and the auto box is really smooth. The steering also feels really responsive.

The 2.0 petrol engine also has more than enough power for my needs and is very quick when needed. The auto box is that good I've not even tried to use the paddles yet.

The beige luxury pack looks amazing, the wood looks like real walnut and not plastic and it's such a nice place to sit in.

The infotainment system is easy to use, although I'm familiar with the BMW system which is very similar and looks part of the car rather than an iPad stuck on the dash.

The 35w xenon package is excellent. I'm really glad I went for them. The blind spot monitoring on the motorway is also really useful and as I've got poor circulation, the heated steering wheel is welcome.

Even though I stayed away from the sportier options and stayed with 17" wheels, but not the default ones, people have still remarked how sporty the car looks compared to other brands.

I've a few niggles, but aren't real issues. The beige interior also comes with beige floor mats. I may get a darker set for winter. As somebody has said before, there is a rough edge to the gear stick, but you don't really feel it when using it. Part of the keys also have a rough edge. I've also managed to stop the keyless entry system working on the odd occasion as well.

I spent some time this morning sorting out the tyre pressures, and unsurprisingly, cleaning the drivers side car mat!

Fantastic!! Black or anthracite mats should sort it out. How do you find the HK stereo? 146nick commented it wasn't as good as expected I think. Cant wait for my 2l petrol super now......which is another month away!!

I wouldn't say I was a dedicated audiophile, but it sounds great to me. I do spend quite a bit of time in my car before and after football matches so I listen to it with the engine off so I thought I'd go for the upgrade.

I had a little play with my iPhone and the old iPod I used to leave in my Brera today and it all played with no issues. The old iPod is now in the Giulia's glovebox.

The beige interior looks good. I really wanted the leather dash. It'll make yours pretty rare I think

stuart1714, lovely lovely car.

Gorgeous colour combos, I presume this is the standard Alfa red and "tan" interior? I was considering "tan" on my Speciale (ordering next week), but not sure if it's too light (looking at your pics) given the mileage I'm likely to do (might end up looking like it needs a clean all the time!).

This isn't tan, it is beige (as stuart1714 said in his opening post), which is available only with luxury pack, and adds full interior covered in leather (including the dash, etc.) and real wood. Tan is darker. You can check how they look in online configurator, which represents colours quite correctly. ;)

It does look amazing to be fair, but that was my same thinking @jellemr when I ordered my Speciale, hence why I went for boring black. I don't regret it though, done nearly 1000 miles in it already and it the tan would've looked a bit darker by now already

Actually, looking at the configurator, Beige ( the photos here) is different from the Tan I was looking to spec, with the Tan looking quite a lot darker....maybe still an option..

Tan comes with black carpets anyway; if you're worried about practicality

Yep that was a worry. Good to know.
It's tricky deciding on colours / wheels / options etc when all you can go on is an online configurator. Most of the demos that dealers have spec'd seem to be the same colours / options, so there's not much of a chance to see these things in the flesh.

I didnt order the HK stereo. As mentioned before Ive been sorely dissapointed in my "upgraded" stereos in my 991 GT3 and Carreras. Ive elected as a general now to stay with what is offered as base and use the 1000-2000 GBP saved to have a specialist car audio shop replace the factory amplifier and upgrade the speakers. Usually the cost is no more than 6-700 GBP and the sound is far superior to the upgraded systems such as Bose and HK which by definition are not particularly high up on the food chain in the eyes of the specialist car audio installers. While they are in there installing the Hertz or Focal 6.6" drivers they can line the door with some dynamat and make the acoustics far more stable.

I picked the Giulia up after its paint protection and it's now my daily drive. Barry did an amazing job and he's a real perfectionist. He even gave some laminated instructions and recommendations on cleaning it and a "Do not clean" sign to put on the car when being serviced to stop it being cleaned at the dealers.
