Factory order waiting times

Now that orders are being taken, it's time we had a thread for delivery times.

2.0 litre Petrol Super, ordered 30/08.

Well done. Does this mean you have an options price list?
What wheels did you have?

The options price list was on a spreadsheet and the dealer wasn't 100% sure on some of them. As the petrol doesn't come in the highest spec, I added a few bits and pieces. There were 2 Lusso packs for about 2750 which may actually be the luxury packs, and a number of other sports type packs. I didn't go fit the Lusso, sports or performance packs as I like my gadgets instead. The ones that I know, as they were the ones I was looking at were:

Red calipers 250 (other colours available)
Shift paddles on steering column 275
60/40 split seats 180
Cold weather pack 550
Driver assistance pack plus 950 - I think there was a cheaper one for about 550
Lighting pack 900 (Zenons only were cheaper)
Electric folding mirrors 275
Harmon Kardon Audio 950. There was a cheaper upgrade at 500 as well.
Electric seats 650
Convenience pack 450

I went with the 18" luxury wheels, 750 upgrade from 17.

At the moment, some of the things only come in packs, like heated seats in the cold weather pack. I don't know if when the configurater is fully working whether some will appear as separate add ones and not in packs.

There isn't a clear list on the spreadsheet of what's in each pack either.

Paddles essential I think as they're the coolest.
I don't suppose you saw how much the full leather option is? It's 1000 euro in Italy but I guess it's more here.
The having to have the convenience pack of you want the Harman Audio is a pain.
What colour paint/seats did you go for?

I think paddles, either the 17 or 18 sport wheels and possibly leather + audio would be mine.
If those options were available on the base model the. I'd possibly not go to super as I don't think I'm too bothered about Nav.
I assume that the twin pipe is only on the diesel super (the Italian original word document seemed to suggest that).

The spreadsheet was a bit confusing. In the trim bit, it said the full leather was part of a lux pack, but there was no lux pack. There were two different Lusso options, both at 2750 in the options list. I assume that this was it. The pack gives you other things such as chrome door surrounds and wood trim. The chrome surrounds were included in the 2 Lusso options, so I assumed that they were also the full leather pack.

I think the full leather may only available on the Super and above.

I went for Alfa red with a red/black interior.

You pay for paddles? I've not been reading the threads with as much vigour as perhaps I should. These are proper planetary gearboxes aren't they? So without the paddles it just a dumb lever thing in the centre console?

****, I think I may have gone right off them if that's the case

It was always a paid option in Italy too. And if you bought a TCT Giulietta paddles were extra (but nasty and plastic).
If you don't buy paddles you can still shift up/down manually with the stick - as it was in the 159.

It was just all the launch reviews in the UK said paddles came with Super and above. That was where the confusion came in.

Seems a bit tight though. And will probably be the biggest frustration when you're searching the second hand market in a few years to find that loads won't have it.

Hopefully most folk will purchase the paddle option on the Giulia. I'm now thinking come the time I will be looking that maybe a 6 months old car might be my preference.

I suppose 275 is not that bad. However as mentioned 2nd hand searching might be a pain. I'm not over keen on an old fashioned gearbox (OK it's not really old but the idea is) after driving half decent F1 boxes (I even include Selespeed) I think this might be a little disappointing, however time will tell.

Priorities I find, are usually someone else's.
Statements above are all my own opinion and not fact.

.
Mine is a Ghibli. I have had a quote from the dealer to retrofit for around 1100. I think as an option they are about 300, god knows why people don't all get them! They are nice big aluminium ones , though not 1100 worth of aluminium! lol

Sorry, yes I knew that, I am not sure why I mentioned 3200/4200 (other than a favourite of mine ). I do think they should be standard on the car.

How are you getting on with the Ghibli?

40K! I did not think you'd had it a year? Glad you are enjoying it
450 for pads. That's Maserati tax and quite honestly ridiculous.

After an Internet trawl, upgrade to full leather on Super is 750. On base model it's 1350 but you're limited to black.

18 wheels require you to have run flat tyres it seems.

To have the Lusso pack with the 8 way elec Pieno Frau Fiore seats, etc is 2750 but you need to have split rear seats at 180 plus xenon lighting pack at 900. That's a lot....

The performance pack gets you the adaptive suspension plus LSD and a "Q2" badge on the back. This is 1950 on a Super. Seems reasonable value if you had a 280/350 Hp version if it ever happens.

I got a call today and was informed that my order is at code 16, which I believe means that they have a confirmed build slot at the factory, so they have either started to build it or are very close to starting it.

Ok mine flicked over to state 16 on Monday too. I think that was 2 weeks after it being loaded onto system. (24th October).
Yours was on the pre-order list Stuart I think? I guess that will have been loaded a week before mine when ordering opened properly.
The state 16 means you can't change the order.

It's good to see that things are finally progressing for folks and it won't be long before they start to arrive.

It's getting exciting. I expect TV adverts to hit next week if the dealers are having their launches on the 18/19/20 Nov.
I also get more excited with each review I see. The latest top gear one for the US version just say it's better than the Germans to drive.

Built to delivered should be better for you with no boats involved. You should be driving it in 3-4 weeks?
