improved performance!!

just wanted to thank all of you who have recommended red dot racing. after being a little disapointed with the performance and fuel economy of my brera 2.4 MJD I decided to take my car for an engine remap after reading a few posts recommending red dot..... what a difference! not only has power increased by 45bhp that's like finding an extra fiat panda under the bonnet! power is smooth and the car actually feels a lot ligther. and even better still on the journey down (103miles) I averaged 33mpg driving fairly sensibly ... on the way back 44mpg! and that's with a few spirited moments. ...it will pay for itself in no time in fuel savings alone! thanks guys,,,,,,

Re: improved performance!!

Some remaps on some cars affect the on board computer mpg figure. You should check fuel fill-up against mileage to the next fill-up.
It would be interesting to see if it agrees. Some remaps have left the computer mpg over by 10%. Please try to inform us.

A lot will do that. It's a side effect..

My one in my 156 was always totally inaccurate! It actually got better after the remap!

Re: improved performance!!

I've also just had my Brera 2.4jtdm remapped at red dot and it has improved acceleration quite dramatically.. I will see if the indicated mpg matches the actual fill up figure but that apart I heartily recommend the remap....

It cost around £240 and took an hour or two..

Re: improved performance!!

Just came back and what a difference... I am running around 186 and the torque curve is much steeper (+64). Car feels very different. Cannot wait for a non-rainy day... All I need now is a new clutch...
