A ludicrous IDEA
pun intended....
Guys, I teach CAD, and I have been overlaying pics of the 8C and the GT.....and there is a real amount of overlap (will post pics soon)
So...how about a carbonfibre 6C Competizione ? strip a 3.2 V6 GT down (take all the panels off, and sell as spares), and then make carbon-fibre panels to replicate the form of the 8C. Lights can be replicated with off-the-shelf parts. The doors can stay, as can the mirrors. Hardly defacement - more like wish-fulfillment.
I am willing to do the work of the CAD design drawings. Builds can take place in NZ - plenty of superyacht companies needing the work, plus NZ Land Transport will permit a car to be modified as long as its essential structure is not tampered with - which it won't be, in this case.
Its hardly a cheapie though , GT's costing what they do - we all love the GT, but a GT that looks like an 8C - what a concept !
Comments ? Is it too loony ? Or not loony enough ?
